Mary's personal journey started her in search of holistic approaches to well being.

"Many years ago when I went through what society calls "the change of life," I consulted my physician for assistance.  I was tired and lethargic almost all of the time and my menstrual cycle was irregular.  My physician put me on birth control pills to regulate my cycle.  I had adverse reactions to several different kinds of  medication. A hysterectomy was recommended. I decided there had to be a better way.

I was very fortunte at that time in my life to  be able to consult with an Ayurvedic physician from India, Dr. Sunil Joshi. Through ayurveda, I learned how to take better care of myself on a daily basis. My overall health and energy  increased,  my relationships and communications improved.  Unfortunately, I did not maintain this lifestyle change and "fell off the wagon."

I searched other modalities, some of which I received licensing and/or certification. Each provided an important step into my continued search for wellbeing. I discovered many modalities to improve one's health.

At 56, I found myself facing medical problems and taking medication.  Again , I had adverse effects.  So, I returned to what I knew would work, ayurveda . This time I went to the Chopra Center for Wellbeing in Carlsbad, CA .  I  had attended Seduction of Spirit in Atlanta, GA.  Each morning and evening we had yoga.  I fell in love with the yoga and adored the instructor, Claire.  I started with The Seven Spiritual Laws of Yoga teacher training .  I had such a wonderful experience that I wanted to expand my teaching, so I signed up for the Primordial Sound Meditaiton teacher certification course. I continued my cirlce by becoming aPerfect Health instructor. Now, I would be able to assist others to find their wellness.

When I was in training with the Chopra Center, I realized many of the therapies I had studied over the years were parts of the ayurvedic system.  Now I know how to effectively apply them to bring wholeness and balance into my every day life and to assist others in their everyday life. I feel rejuvenated physically, mentally, emotionally, and spiritually. "
